Where: Group space at Joe’s office, located at 5060 Cascade Rd SE, Ste D, Grand Rapids, MI 49546

Description: I will be speaking on the theory and practice of Relational Psychodynamic Therapy (RPT), which is a specific form of psychodynamic psychotherapy that is aimed at equipping therapists to utilize their experience in the room with their patients to deepen their work.

Learning Objectives: 1) Attendees will be able to describe why psychodynamic therapy has been misrepresented and under-utilized in recent decades. 2) Attendees will be able to integrate tenets of RPT in their work with their patients. 3) Attendees will interact with fellow psychotherapists in the area who work psychodynamically, which will lead to decreased feelings of isolation and burnout.

Target Audience: Any therapist looking to deepen their engagement with their patients. Social Workers, Counselors, and Psychologists would be prime examples.
